A Nighttime Spectacle: Illuminated Odawara Castle |
Rich in history and natural beauty, Odawara⭐, Japan, is a perfect day trip from Tokyo. Once a key stop on the road to Kyoto, Odawara boasts the impressive Odawara Castle(小田原城). Today, it serves as a gateway to the famous hot springs and stunning views of Hakone.
While initially just a stopover for me, Odawara's charm quickly won me over. Nestled between mountains and the Sagami Bay coast, it's a paradise for nature lovers. The Odawara Flower Garden explodes with color throughout the year, from February's plums to summer's sunflowers. A greenhouse showcases exotic plants, while a rose garden offers fragrant blooms. Walking paths weave through the gardens, with a chance to glimpse majestic Mt. Fuji on clear days. A small fee lets you explore the wonders of the greenhouse.
Odawara's friendly atmosphere welcomes visitors to explore its hidden gems, both within the city and nearby Hakone.
