UCLA Campus around Election Walk Area

Attention: Click here to view a mobile-friendly version.

Below map is the area of UCLA Campus that I have visited on 06/14/2018 and described in this article.

In the morning, I have taken stairs up towards Math Sciences bldg.

And turned left on the Portola Plaza.

Walked through between Kerckhoff Hall and Moore Hall.  On the left hand side, you can see this beautiful courtyard.  If you like, you can go inside the Hall and buy coffee to drink under those umbrellas or tress.

From between trees, there is a stair down to the Election Walk area.

Below view is the Moore Hall.

In the Election Walk area, verdant tress around buildings and green lawns on the slopes are so beautiful.

A Morning Stroll around UCLA's Westwood Neighborhood

Attention: Click here to view a mobile-friendly version.

On 06/14/2018, I have taken a slow stroll around Westwood neighborhood starting from Strathmore Drive where my Airbnb house located.  First, I walked downhill towards Westwood Village and enjoyed my breakfast at Whole Foods.

Off-Campus Apartments

Most UCLA Sophomores moving out of dormitories stay in this Westwood neighborhood which is quite safe and mostly covered by school's BruinBus services.  In late evening, you can still find lots of students walking from Gayley Avenue down to Kelton Avenue.  Above photos show you what off-campus apartments looks like in that area.

Westwood Village

Just a ten minute walk from the Luskin Conference Center and its Westwood accommodations, this charming community enclave serves as the university’s unofficial college town. A destination for shopping and dining, it also holds a prominent place in film history, with its vintage landmark theaters that still host movie premieres today. Westwood Village also offers everyday conveniences for those visiting the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center.

Walking along Westwood Blvd and then Westwood Plaza northwards, eventually you will reach UCLA Westwood entrance and Luskin Conference Center is on the left side of the road.
