If you are looking for home-style cooking around, you need to look for the following kanji:
in the name of restaurant.

Instead of ordering different Japanese dishes, you may want to order Teishoku Meal Set which usually consists of:
  • Main dish
  • Rice
  • Miso soup
  • Japanese-style pickle
  • Additional side dish
The name of meal set will be named after the main dish.  For example,
