    it shows you that, to really appreciate Lucerne's beauty, you probably need to spend at least three days in Lucerne and its surrounding mountains (e.g.Mt Rigi and Mt Pilatus).

    On 06/27/2019, a hot summer day, we have taken a similar travel itinerary:
    Lucerne → Burgenstock⭐⭐ → Alpnachstad → Pilatus → Kriens
    to visit Mt Pilatus, below are photos taken during Mr. Pilatus side trip from Lucerne.  Note that we didn't finish the train ride from Alpnachstad to Pilatus and cable car down to Kriens because we were told that we could have only 20 minutes left at the Pilatus summit before we need to take the last cable car down.  Instead, we have decided to take the original boat back to Lucerne.  The lesson learned here is that to achieve the said travel itinerary you need to start either earlier in the day or you don't spend too much time at Burgenstock as we have done.  However, we don't regret to spend time at Burgenstock because its views were awesome and most of the trail covered was in the woods (or in the shades), which is quite welcome for a hike in a hot summer day.

    A Quiet Day in a Berlin Park, 1933 In the early 1930s, Takehisa Yumeji's studio became a hub for artists, inspiring ventures like the Mt. Haruna Art Research Institute.     A Unique Hiking Experience on Fudo-Zaka Slope (不動坂) in Koyasan (高野山)

    Koyasan  (高野山), a popular pilgrimage destination for centuries, has been connected to the outside world by a network of pilgrimage trails. While most visitors enter the mountain by cable car nowadays, many of the pilgrimage trails still remain in use. Koyasan Travel—Temple Lodging (Shukubo; YouTube link ) Part of the pilgrimage trails, the Fudozaka Trail (不動坂; click the map to enlarge), leads to Koyasan from Gokurakubashi Station, the lower station of the Koyasan Cablecar. The steep, paved trail is 2.5 kilometers long and takes about an hour to ascend and less time to descend. The trail ends at the Nyonindo temple (女人堂).
