Bürgenstock: A Stunning Side Trip from Lucerne

Birdseye's view of villages from  Burgenstock In a companion article Switzerland Travel―3 Day Travel Itinerary in Lucerne it shows you that, to really appreciate Lucerne's beauty, you probably need to spend at least three days in Lucerne and its surrounding mountains (e.g. Mt Rigi  and  Mt Pilatus ). Photo Gallery On 06/27/2019, a hot summer day, we have taken a similar travel itinerary: Lucerne →  Burgenstock ⭐⭐ → Alpnachstad → Pilatus → Kriens to visit Mt Pilatus , below are photos taken during Mr. Pilatus  side trip from Lucerne.  Note that we didn't finish the train ride from Alpnachstad to Pilatus and cable car down to Kriens because we were told that we could have only 20 minutes left at the Pilatus summit before we need to take the last cable car down.  Instead, we have decided to take the original boat back to Lucerne.  The lesson learned here is that to achieve the said travel itinerary you need to start either earlier in the day or you...
