A Route to Remember: From Lucerne to the Summit

  • Lucerne → Bürgenstock → Alpnachstad → Pilatus → Kriens
Our journey to Mount Pilatus began in the enchanting city of Lucerne, where we soaked in the vibrant atmosphere and admired the iconic Chapel Bridge. From there, we embarked on a scenic drive to Bürgenstock, a luxurious resort nestled amidst rolling hills and offering panoramic views of Lake Lucerne.

Next, we descended to Alpnachstad, the gateway to Mount Pilatus, where we boarded the Pilatus cogwheel railway, the steepest rack railway in the world. The ascent was a thrilling experience in itself, as we marveled at the ever-changing scenery and the engineering marvel that carried us higher and higher towards the summit.

Upon reaching the summit of Mount Pilatus, we were greeted by a breathtaking panorama of the Swiss Alps. We spent the day exploring the various viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape.

As the day drew to a close, we descended back to Kriens, the charming village at the foot of Mount Pilatus. The picturesque streets and traditional Swiss architecture provided a fitting end to our memorable journey.
