Nærøyfjord—a Branch of the Large Sognefjord
The Nærøyfjord ⭐⭐is a fjord in Aurland, Norway. The narrow fjord is a branch of the large Sognefjord, and it is featured on the "Norway in a Nutshell" daytrips for tourists. The 18-kilometre long fjord is only 500 meters wide in some parts.[1]
There are a few different versions of this tour, depending on whether you’ll be departing from Oslo, Bergen, Voss, or Flåm, but they all have the same objective: to take you through the beautiful scenery of the Flåm Railway, Aurlandsfjord, Nærøyfjord, and Stalheimskleiva.
Norway in a Nutshell isn’t a guided tour, it just provides you with a set of tickets, all of which you could book independently for much cheaper.Boat trips are popular through this famed, narrow arm of the Songefjord with greenery & waterfalls.

We took the afternoon boat from Flåm to Gudvangen. This is an Electric boat (see the picture above) that is very quiet which adds to the trip as "silence on the fjord" is one of the beauties of it.
We went in early April. So snow was everywhere and it was a little bit cold when we stepped outside for the photos. The trip took about two hours and you went through some of the most amazing and pristine scenery.
The below photos were taken on 04/06/2023.
