Carry‑On Liquids: The TSA 3‑1‑1 Rule Explained

TSA's 3-1-1 Liquids Rule (YouTube link)

Carry-on liquids follow the 3-1-1 rule:

  • Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams, and pastes must be 3.4 oz (100 ml) or less per container.
  • This includes toothpaste, shampoo, and similar personal-care items.
  • Drinks and food liquids such as water, soda, and salsa must also follow the rule.
  • Peanut butter counts as a liquid because it is spreadable and must follow the same limit.
  • All allowed liquids must fit in one clear, plastic, quart-size zip-top bag.
  • Only one such bag is allowed per passenger.
  • That is what 3-1-1 means: 3.4 oz containers, 1 quart bag, 1 bag per person.
  • The limit is based on the size printed on the bottle, not how much liquid is left inside.
  • A larger bottle that looks only partly full cannot go through the checkpoint.
  • Oversized containers must go in checked baggage.

Osaka: Navigating the Many Namba Stations

This is a passageway leading to Nankai-Namba Station. Be aware that underground passages in Japan can be quite complex for visitors. When you arrive at Kansai International Airport (symbol: KIX) and try to reach your destinations via trains, sometimes you need to make connections at Namba Station (see Fig. 2). Namba Station is one of the main connection points (the other two are Umeda and Tennoji Stations). Buying the T‑Casual at Barcelona Airport (BCN): Updated Guide for 2026

TL;DR: T‑10 is gone — Barcelona now uses the T‑mobilitat system. The best tourist ticket is the T‑Casual (10 rides, Zone 1), but it does not cover the Airport Metro (L9 Sud) or the Aerobús. If you land at T1, skip buying transit tickets at the airport and take the Aerobús into the city first. Once you reach the city center and drop your bags, buy your T‑Casual from any Metro station vending machine and start using it for all your Barcelona travel.
