This once-vibrant merchant warehouse complex, originally built in the 19th century by the British Tait & Co trading company, has been transformed into an enchanting realm where history and nature intertwine.
As you venture into this abandoned site, you'll encounter a mesmerizing spectacle – the remains of the warehouse buildings enveloped in an intricate web of banyan tree roots. Over the years, these tenacious roots have snaked their way through, over, and around the brickwork and concrete, creating a living sculpture that defies the passage of time.
Remarkably, the sprawling roots and branches have meticulously preserved the outlines of walls, doorways, and roofs that have long since succumbed to decay.
