Nigatsudo Hall—A National Treasure of Japan

Back of Nigatsudo Hall

Nigatsudo Hall ⭐⭐is a Buddhist hall located in Todai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan. It is one of the most important structures in the temple complex, and it is best known for the Omizutori ceremony, which is held every year in March.

The hall is located on a hill to the east of the Great Buddha Hall, and it offers stunning views of the city of Nara. The main hall is a wooden structure with a thatched roof, and it is decorated with intricate carvings and paintings.

Inside the hall, there are two main statues: a large Kannon statue and a small Kannon statue. Both statues are considered to be secret Buddhas, and they are not normally on public display.
